The Black Pool Magic Convention Experience

The Blackpool Magic Convention is the ultimate gathering for magicians of all levels, hobbyists, collectors, and enthusiasts. This event takes place at the Blackpool Winter Gardens, a well-known seaside resort in the north of the United Kingdom, and is renowned as the world's largest magic convention, attracting over 3,500 attendees.

As a comedy magician, I was fortunate enough to be a part of this magical event, and it was an experience unlike any other in my career. The convention features a wide range of activities, including lectures, performances, and exhibits, all related to the art of magic. And I’m so proud that I won the internal talent competition called "Beat the Wand"

The highlight of the convention is the dealer's room, where over 150 magic shops and dealers showcase their latest creations, from innovative techniques to magical apparatus, books, and other ephemera. As a lecturer, I had the opportunity to share my own insights with attendees, and the dealers' room was quieter during the day when popular lectures were taking place.

In addition to the dealers' room, the convention offers numerous performances and lectures by some of the most noted magicians in the world, providing a chance for attendees to learn from the best and witness the latest techniques firsthand.

Overall, the Blackpool Magic Convention is an event that every magic enthusiast should experience at least once in their lifetime. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of it and look forward to attending again in the future.
