Comedy Magician Dewayne Hill to Release Travel Show After Streaming Deal Termination
Los Angeles , CA - Comedy magician Dewayne Hill today announced the upcoming release of his travel-focused TV show, offering a never-before-seen look at his life on the road performing around the world. The show, which was previously slated for distribution through a streaming platform, will now be made available exclusively on Hill's YouTube channel after the termination of the original licensing deal.
"I'm thrilled to finally be able to share this incredible footage with my fans," said Hill.
"Viewers will get an all-access pass to see the ups and downs of life as a touring performer, from sellout shows all over the country, to logistical nightmares at the airport. It's going to be a wild ride."
The 12-episode season was originally slated for distribution through a major streaming network, but the deal was terminated after the platform's co-owner and executive became embroiled in a high-profile legal controversy. With the rights now reverted back to Hill, he opted to forgo a contract extension and instead self-produce and release the content directly to his loyal YouTube following.
"YouTube has become a serious contender in the streaming wars, and I believe this is the perfect platform to reach my audience in an authentic way," added Hill. "I'm excited to experiment with weekly episode releases and short-form clips to keep fans engaged."
The first full episode of Dewayne Hill's travel show will premiere on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 8pm EST on his YouTube channel, with new episodes released every Thursday following.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to twice-weekly mini clips offering a sneak peek at the high-energy, behind-the-scenes action start December 1 at 10:00am EST
Dewayne was recently voted Best Entertainer and Best Stand-Up Comedian for 2024.
